Small Business Growth Strategy
Have your say on the Small Business Growth Strategy 2037.
The Tasmanian Government is committed to making our state the best place in Australia to live, work, raise a family, invest and run a business.
Small businesses are a key part of this vision – they make up more than 97% of all Tasmanian businesses and play a vital role in our local communities and regional areas.
To help small businesses grow and thrive over the next decade, we’re developing the Small Business Growth Strategy 2037.
This strategy will guide both government and industry on the priorities and actions needed to support Tasmania’s small business sector into the future.
Why we’re consulting
We’re reviewing the current strategy to make sure it reflects what matters most to Tasmanian small businesses today.
Since the last consultation in 2022, new challenges and opportunities have emerged, and we want to make sure the updated strategy captures them.
Through this consultation, we’re looking to understand:
- whether the four themes in the current strategy still represent what’s important to Tasmanian businesses
- whether the objectives under each theme in the current strategy are still the key areas that should be focused on
- Challenges or opportunities that have emerged since the last strategy was developed in 2022
Your real-life experiences and insights will help us shape a practical, relevant and future‑focused strategy.
