Economic Diversification and Investment Strategy

Have your say on the Economic Diversification and Investment Strategy

The Tasmanian Government is inviting businesses, industry, communities and individuals to have their say on the draft Economic Diversification and Investment Strategy.

The Strategy will help shape how Tasmania responds to future opportunities and challenges and aims to support a coordinated approach to economic development over the coming decade.

Have your say

As Tasmania's economy continues to evolve, it's important that the approach to future economic development reflects the opportunities and challenges facing businesses, industries and regions across the state.

The draft Economic Diversification and Investment Strategy proposes a more coordinated approach to supporting private investment, improving productivity, encouraging innovation and focusing government effort where it can have the greatest impact.

Your feedback will help ensure the final Strategy reflects the priorities, opportunities and challenges that matter most to businesses, industry, communities and regions across Tasmania.

Businesses of all sizes, industry organisations, investors, community groups and interested Tasmanians are encouraged to have their say.

What's in the draft Strategy?

The draft Strategy identifies six strategic priorities that will help guide future economic development and investment across Tasmania:

  • unlocking private investment
  • accelerating innovation
  • lifting productivity
  • activating regions
  • growing capability
  • strengthening infrastructure.

Together, these priorities provide the framework for the Strategy and will help guide future decisions that support Tasmania's long-term economic prosperity.
