Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme
Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme (TFES) helps Tasmanian businesses and individuals offset the higher cost of shipping goods by sea across Bass Strait.
It aims to ensure Tasmanian producers can compete fairly with mainland businesses by providing financial assistance for eligible non-bulk goods transported northbound, southbound, or to/from King and Flinders Islands.
Applications are open year-round, with no set opening or closing dates. Claims must be lodged within six months of the shipment date.
