Real Jobs, Real Wages program
This is an Australian Government initiative that helps employers grow and diversify their workforce by supporting them to hire jobseekers who have been engaged with employment services for over two years.
Eligible employers can access up to $15,000 in financial incentives, delivered through a wage subsidy (up to $10,000 over six months, depending on the employee’s hours) and a secure‑work payment (up to $5,000 after one year of permanent employment).
The program is open to businesses with an ongoing vacancy – including apprenticeships and traineeships – but excludes labour‑hire firms and government entities.
