The Product Stewardship for Oil Program provides financial benefits to businesses that recycle or re-refine used oil in Australia. Its purpose is to promote environmentally sustainable oil management and reduce waste.
There are no fixed application dates – businesses can register and lodge claims anytime, typically within three years of eligibility.
Funding
Payments are based on the volume and type of oil processed, ranging from 3 cents to 50 cents per litre and are claimed through the ATO.
