Electric Vehicle Destination Charging Grant Program
The Tasmanian Government’s 2030 Visitor Economy Strategy outlines our commitment to promote the uptake of electric vehicles and support a state-wide charging network to support Tasmania’s goal of shifting to a low emission economy.
The Electric Vehicle Destination Charging Grant Program supports small to medium tourism businesses to install destination chargers for visitors staying overnight.
Funding
- The program is being delivered in two rounds, with total grant funding of $125,000 available for Round 1.
- Grants of up to $2,500 per charger are available, for a maximum of four chargers per business.
Key dates
Round 1 of the Electric Vehicle Destination Charging Grant Program closed on 31 August 2026.
We aim to notify applicants of the outcome by 28 September 2026.
We expect information about Round 2 will be available in March 2027.
