Aviation Attraction Fund

The Aviation Attraction Fund is designed to help Tasmanian airports and airlines partner to establish or expand domestic and international flight routes, increase flight frequency or capacity and promote Tasmania as a destination.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, processed in order of receipt until each funding stream’s allocation is fully allocated.

Funding

The program has a total allocation of $5 million over four years, divided between two streams:

• international direct air access – up to $3 million, for direct flights between Tasmania and international destinations
• domestic routes – up to $2 million, for new, seasonal, or extended domestic services. A minimum 50% co-contribution is required from applicants.
