Finding a training provider or training course
Training in Australia is provided by governments, academic institutions, and registered training organisations (RTOs).
The Australian Training System is a national system that aims to ensure that there is consistency in training outcomes across the states and territories.
Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
RTOs are training/assessment providers recognised by state regulators. They are audited regularly against a national set of standards.
Anyone can be a training provider but only RTOs can deliver nationally recognised training, and issue statements of attainment or qualifications that are recognised within the national system.
You can search for a RTO on the training.gov.au website.
Apprenticeships are administered by Australian Apprenticeship Centres (AACs). AACs help businesses with the administration associated with apprenticeships.
