2016 Employer of Choice Awards
Celebrating Tasmania’s Employers of Choice
The Minister for State Growth, Matthew Groom has presented awards to twelve new Employers of Choice.
The annual Employer of Choice Awards recognise Tasmanian organisations that demonstrate contemporary workplace practices and outstanding support for their staff.
Over 300 guests attended the Awards presentation dinner on 30 May 2016. Twelve organisations were recognised as Employers of Choice, with a further seven being highly commended.
This was the ninth Awards presentation, the biggest audience at an Employer of Choice event, and the most number of awards given at any single presentation.
There are now 71 Tasmanian Employers of Choice, collectively employing over 14 000 Tasmanians. Award recipients commented on the power of the EoC process and the importance of benchmarking their organisations, regardless of the final outcome.
Employers of Choice are committed to supporting work life balance, employee engagement, communication, leadership and continuous improvement.
Staff at Employers of Choice advocate for their employer and help the business to provide better services and win new customers. Most importantly, these people go home from work in a happy and healthy state of mind, with the confidence and energy to live a full and rewarding life, and are therefore able to contribute to the wellbeing of their families, their friends and their communities.
This year’s award winners are from a variety of sectors and should all be congratulated for their success.
